About the Swimmer

I’m a northern Minnesota girl who took a chance and moved to San Diego for a random change in life back in 2008. You really can’t beat the So Cal climate and I caught the triathlon bug shortly after moving to the west coast. I married a Navy boy in 2010 and we’ve begun to grow the #willsdynasty one finish line at a time. We moved back to the midwest in 2016 following a change of orders for Kyle. Transitioning back to the colder climate had its challenges, but Chicago has definitely made me stronger. In 2019 following another PCS, we moved to Whidbey Island, just north of Seattle and purchased our first home. The PNW has been a great place for us to put down our roots.

Welcome to my blog. This started out as a way for me to look back on my early triathlon years as I transitioned out of physical scrapbooking to online blogging. The virtual scrapbook enabled me to share my experiences primarily with my faithful blog reader – my mom. It’ll follow my adventures and misadventures in athletics and life.
